The Kansas Department of Health and Environment was awarded a federal cooperative agreement that includes $74 million for school districts to support increased COVID-19 testing in pre-K through 12 grade schools and school-affiliated summer programs and camps. 

A robust COVID-19 testing and vaccine strategy supports safe, in-person learning and activities, providing another layer of protection for students, teachers, and staff, while slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

USD 422 has completed the necessary steps to be able to administer COVID-19 tests in the building.  The video below gives a brief introduction to the testing program, and why Kiowa County Schools felt like this was a positive move for our students and staff.

All tests will be administered by Kiowa County Schools School Nurse, Heidi Stimatze.  Please contact Nurse Stimatze if you have any questions, or need any clarification on the testing program.
